熊涛,厦门大学数学学院教授、博士生导师。主要从事计算流体力学和动理学方程高精度数值模拟研究,已经在 JCP,JSC,SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing等杂志上发表多篇高水平研究论文。

报告简介

In this talk, we will introduce a multi-dimensional hybrid discontinuous Galerkin method for multi-scale kinetic equations. This method is based on moment realizability matrices for domain decomposition. The main issue is to provide a simple indicator to select the most appropriate model and to apply a compact numerical scheme to reduce the interface region between different models. We also construct a numerical flux for the fluid model obtained as the asymptotic limit of the flux of the kinetic equation. We perform several numerical simulations for time evolution and stationary problems to demonstrate the good performance of our method.
